six weeks waiting

Today marks 6 weeks of being on the wait list. It's still flying by. I think about our little babe nonstop. He is already part of our family even though we haven't met him yet. Chad and I pray for him often. If we're matched with a baby older than 12 months we could get a referral as soon as July. If he is little bitty it could be closer to October/November. Either way is really fine with us; we're confident that God has just the right baby chosen for our family. His age and when we get him is part of God's plan too.

Hi Bekah,
Just wanted to let you know we aren't far behind you on the waitlist. Look forward to making this journey with you in cyberspace and maybe even in person to Ethiopia to get our sons! Happy waiting!

Sorry...just getting back on the internet tonight. I've been gone since Sunday!

So, you asked about the twisting. Um, I did it while Eli was watching Veggietales (pretty much the only thing he'll watch). I didn't really time it, but I would guess five minutes or so. I sprayed his hair down, put in some leave in conditioner and then started twisting all of his little curls. Amy did bigger twists when she did Silas' hair. Eli has such tight tiny curls that I had to really pick out little pieces of hair. So cute though, right?!

I think it would be much cuter on a girl. I loved doing it to Eli's hair, but I wondered if it made him look feminine? We get asked periodically if he's a girl. I guess because of his cute dimples and long curly eyelashes :)
